Emore
I put a Babylock Emore embroidery machine on layaway Thursday. The price was too good to pass up. I have been wanting a larger embroidery area than the 4 x 4 in my Brother PE 150 because most of the things I want to do are for home dec and larger designs. I had been wavering back and forth between the Brother 700II and the Emore and then decided I just wanted to go for the gold, and get the Ellegante. I had the money for it but decided I needed new windows for the house alot worse than a new sewing machine! Windows will save me money! So when the Emore went on sale, I decided to go for it since I'll probably never be able to buy cheaper.
I do have a couple of misgivings about tho...first...it takes 90 weight bobbin thread. I have a ton of 60 weight. Also, I'm hearing rumors it is being discontinued, which can either be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. That's one of the reasons I put it on layaway instead of buying it out right. The new machines are coming out at the end of the month and that may open up more possibilites that I can just transfer the Emore over to another machine. I also will be able to trade it in within 6 months for full price of what I paid toward another machine. Sew....we shall see what developes!
