October 2, 20011 Rest in Peace Boo Boo
Sunday night, I lost my best friend and companion to a heart attack. My beautiful 8 year old German Shepard died within 5 minutes of showing symptoms and dieing. At 7 pm, he was outside with me feeding the livestock, and chasing chickens and was healthy as can be. By 8 pm he was gone.
My first red flag that something was wrong was when he came into the bedroom where I was laying down watching tv. Instead of jumping up on the bed like he ALWAYS does, he laid down next to the bed. I called him to get up with me and he didn't. He got up and went into the bathroom. (Alarms were going off in my head, as he never goes in there.) I got up and he was laying next to the sink breathing 90 miles a minute. I went and told my husband, something is wrong with Boo Boo, I have to get him to the Vet. I tried to move him but he was entirely too heavy (110 pounds). I finally grabbed him by his hind legs and pulled him into the bedroom and started giving him CPR. He was gone that fast.
I am totally heartbroken with grief. Boo Boo has been my shadow and never more than 3 feet away from me. He never got on any furniture except the bed. He always slept with me. He always layed right beside me, no matter what room I was in. I always had to step over him when I was sewing to get to the ironing board.
Boo Boo...I'm missing you so much and I'm so lost without you. I love you with all my heart. I'm heartsick that I don't have more pictures.
