My dear former dil was here for a visit April 19th-23rd. We had a wonderful time together. It had been a while since I had seen her. I know it probably sounds strange to be on such great terms with an *x* but honestly, she lived with me more than with my son. They got married young, he was in the military and deployed most of their marriage. So she is like a daughter to me. They have been divorced for 12 years and both have remarried. She stills thinks of me as a mother to her.
Anyway, we spent the weekend decluttering and making room in the cave (den) for my Grace frame that is still sitting in the box 14 months after getting it! She also did a great job cleaning my carpet in the living room and dining room. With 2 german shepard puppies who still aren't housebroke.... One day I hope to just replace the horrid 40 year old carpet.
On the day she had to fly back, we left early for the airport so we could stop at Cracker Barrel, as I was dying for a bowl of turnip greens. After dropping her off, and running a few errands, hubby and I were stopped at a red light and I just happened to glance over and said, *look Randy, there is a white Escalade behind that blue pole at the car lot*. He said, why don't you pull in and lets look at it. Well needless to say... Here she is:
Oh, that furbaby is our Aussie, Cassie!
