Friday was my respit day. Had a health care worker come and stay with hubby for 6 hours so I could get out and play. Oh...I had a wonderful time! Seems like every respit day I've had so far has been screwed up.
The Oct one, I was supposed to meet my friend Jeanne at her house at 9am to go to the Claremore Quilt Show. I had Respit set up to come at 8:30 am so I could be at her house by 9. Well, that one got all f****d up because she decided I had to be there at 8:25 because she invited more people to come with us. She did not understand, that I could not change things around, just to suit her, so she could be the first one in the door. Apparently she does not get...my husband CAN NOT be left alone. PERIOD. So...Goodbye, Jeanne.
Needless to say...I also told her so. A friendship down the drain as I haven't heard from her in a month. For myself, I don't care. You know the old saying, with friends like that, who needs enemies!
Getting back to my respit day. I had lunch with my youngest DD and 2 year old GS. We did a little shopping then she had to pick up DGD from kindergarden, so I continued on shopping myself. Then I went and got a pedicure! Someone should have told me before what a great thing this is!
Now, I have pretty feet and toes!
Came home in a great mood, (the glass of wine with the pedicure didn't hurt anything either!). It was a wonderful day for my mental health, especially since it's been months since I had a day/partial day for myself. We are going to do it again next month. Thank you Melodee.

I have a husband, 3 dogs, 2 cats, a Military Macaw, Meyers Parrot, a turtle, tarantuala, 3 horses, and around a 100 racing pigeons. Oh, and a bunch of chickens and guinea's... a regular zoo, or am I a diary farmer...Can't ever go anywhere! Thank goodness for being an empty nester! Temperance is another card of aspiration, but also of much change. It often represents complex situations. Positively, you can harmonize contrary forces.
Temperance is, on a surface level, about "tempering." The original pouring from cup to cup might have been about cutting wine with water. So this is a card about moderation. There is, however, another angle to the card, that of merging seemingly impossible opposites. Sagittarius, the centaur, merges beast and man into a unique creature. And then there is the bow and arrow, one moving, one stationary, working together to point the way. Temperance may be, at first glance, a warning for you to "temper" your behavior, to cut your wine with water. But it may also be a reminder to that seemingly irreconcilable opposites may not be irreconcilable at all. Belief that fiery red and watery blue cannot be merged may be the only thing standing in the way of blending the two. Change the belief, measure out each with care, and you can create otherworldly violet.
